Lithuania's President Reveals EU's Delay in Supplying Artillery Shells to Ukraine

Lithuania's President, Gitanas Nausėda, has explained the delay in delivering a million artillery shells promised by the European Union (EU) to Ukraine, citing insufficient capabilities of the defense industry. Nausėda expressed hope for the adoption of a EUR 50 billion financial package from the EU to support Ukraine but questioned whether the amount would be enough. Lithuania's Minister for Foreign Affairs called on EU member states to avoid slowing down ammunition supply to Ukraine, highlighting that North Korea has provided more ammunition to Russia than the EU has to Ukraine. NATO is urging member countries to agree on a single standard of artillery ammunition to increase production.
