The Kremlin has stated that there is currently no basis for peace negotiations between Russia and Ukraine, dismissing Kyiv's proposed peace plan as absurd for excluding Russia. Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov argued that the chances for a peace deal were undermined when Britain pressured Ukraine to reject a draft agreement after Russia's military intervention. Peskov also criticized Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy's peace plan, claiming it sought peace without Russia's involvement. Zelenskiy's plan includes the withdrawal of Russian troops, cessation of hostilities, and the restoration of Ukraine's state borders with Russia.
