Houthi Retaliatory Strikes Escalate Tensions in Red Sea as US Military Responds

Houthi rebels intensified their attacks on merchant vessels in the Red Sea following the US military's response, including an attack on a fuel tanker operated by Trafigura, after the US Central Command Forces (CENTCOM) shot down a drone and destroyed a Houthi explosive uncrewed surface vehicle (USV). The US military stated that the Houthi militants launched anti-ship ballistic missiles toward a cargo ship, but they missed the target and fell into the sea without causing any injuries.
