European Security Summit Overshadowed by Azerbaijan's Absence

The European Political Community (EPC) summit in Granada was overshadowed by the absence of the Azerbaijani president, who refused to attend due to perceived bias from France and Germany towards Armenia. Turkey's President Erdogan also skipped the summit, weakening the EPC's ability to engage with Ankara. Hopes of calming tensions in the Caucasus were dashed as the meeting between Azerbaijan and Armenia did not take place. The agenda may now shift towards the migration crisis, with UK Prime Minister Rishi Sunak expected to push for tough action. The EPC will also discuss Russia's war against Ukraine.
