WHO declares end to Covid global health emergency, but experts warn of continued need for vigilance.

The World Health Organization (WHO) has declared an end to the Covid-19 global health emergency, more than three years after it was first declared. The decision was made following a recommendation from the WHO's emergency committee, which met for the 15th time. While Covid deaths have fallen globally over the last three months, WHO Director-General Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus warned against complacency and urged countries to continue managing Covid-19 alongside other infectious diseases.
