COVID-19 no longer a public health emergency, says WHO.

The World Health Organization declared that COVID-19 is no longer a global health emergency, but still a global health threat. Dr. Jeff Foxx, who nearly lost his own battle with COVID-19, says that while case rates, intensity of illness, and death rates are going down, precautions such as getting tested, keeping up to date on vaccines, and avoiding big crowds are still necessary. However, he believes that we are moving on from the social applications of the disease and are able to return to normal. The United States is set to let its COVID-19 public health emergency end on May 11.
