Searching for Loved Ones in DR Congo Floods

The death toll from floods and landslides in eastern DR Congo has risen to 394, with people digging through mud with their hands to find missing relatives. The Congolese Red Cross volunteers do not have body bags and are having to pile up the bodies wrapped up in blankets. The floods were caused by torrential rainfall and have also hit neighbouring Rwanda, where more than 130 people were killed. UN chief António Guterres said the floods were another illustration of accelerating climate change.
