Saudi Arabia Executes American Citizen for Patricide

Saudi Arabia has executed an American citizen, Bishoy Sharif Naji Naseef, who was convicted of killing his Egyptian father. The Interior Ministry stated that Naseef beat and strangled his father, mutilated his body, and attempted to kill another person before being arrested. The method of execution was not specified, but Saudi Arabia typically uses beheading. Saudi Arabia ranks among the top executioners globally, and in March 2022, it carried out the largest known mass execution in its modern history, with 81 people executed on the same day.
