Divers uncover 3rd century BC shipwreck.

Croatian and Italian naval mine-clearance divers discovered a fully preserved shipwreck containing a cargo of ancient amphorae from the 3rd century BC in the waters of the Šćedra Island archipelago, off the southern coast of Hvar island. The discovery was made as part of a long-standing collaboration between the two countries. The shipwreck is one of the earliest fully preserved on the eastern Adriatic Sea coast and plans for its protection, conservation, and presentation will be developed based on future archaeological research.
