1,000-year-old adolescent mummy discovered in Peru.

Peruvian archaeologists have discovered a more than 1,000-year-old mummy, believed to be an adolescent, wrapped in a funerary bundle along with ceramics and rope, on the outskirts of Lima. The mummy was found in a good state of conservation and might have belonged to the Lima or Ichma cultures. The discovery is the latest in a series of pre-Inca finds at the sprawling Cajamarquilla complex, which features the ruins of four pyramids and other constructions such as walls laid out like a maze.
