NASA successfully opens the canister containing dust samples from the asteroid Bennu, collected by the Osiris-Rex spacecraft in 2020. The samples, which landed in the Utah desert in September 2023, were initially challenging to retrieve due to trapped material within the canister's sampler head. After months of meticulous work, NASA's team removed the final fasteners, allowing access to the remaining dust.
