Stage 4 cancer patient declared disease-free after living-donor liver transplant

Amy Piccioli, whose Stage 4 colorectal cancer had spread to her liver, received a partial liver transplant from a living donor. Three months after the transplant at Northwestern Medicine in Chicago, doctors say she has no evidence of disease and is back to a normal life, thanks to the gift from a close family friend who donated part of her liver.
