Nationwide Cantaloupe Recall: Salmonella Contamination Alert

Sofia Produce LLC, operating as Trufresh, is recalling all sizes of fresh cantaloupes due to potential salmonella contamination. The cantaloupes were distributed to 10 states in the US and Canada. The affected products were sold between October 16-23 and can be identified by the "Malichita" label and PLU sticker. No illnesses have been reported so far. Consumers are advised not to consume or serve the cantaloupes and to either discard them or return them to the place of purchase. Salmonella can cause serious infections, especially in vulnerable individuals.
