Microsoft Edge Accused of Unauthorized Data Collection from Google Chrome

Microsoft Edge is now automatically importing active tabs from Google Chrome after Windows updates, even if the user has not used Edge on that machine and without asking for permission to sync data from Chrome. This behavior is linked to an existing setting that imports data from Chrome to Edge on each browser launch, which can be disabled through Edge's settings. Despite this, some users have reported that Edge still imports Chrome data every time it starts, and Microsoft has not commented on this behavior.
