"Space Shuttle Endeavour's Rocket Motors Soar Again at California Science Center"

The California Science Center has erected two solid rocket motors from the Space Shuttle Endeavour, which are now on display in the new exhibit at the Samuel Oschin Air and Space Center. The $400 million project will double the science center's educational exhibit space and includes 100 authentic artifacts, such as the Space Hab and the Endeavour itself. The motors, which provide 80% of the power to launch the shuttle into orbit, are 116 feet tall and weigh over 100,000 pounds each. The tank and orbiter will be added in January.
