Sierra Space Successfully Tests Inflatable Space Station Module with Explosive Burst

Sierra Space conducted its first full-scale burst test on a space station module prototype, deliberately exploding it to prepare for future space missions, including the Orbital Reef space station project. The inflatable module, using soft goods technology, aims to replace the International Space Station after its retirement in 2030. Sierra Space plans to continue testing and develop larger versions, while NASA works to reduce potential gaps between stations and attract research to commercial space stations.
