China's Chang'e-6 lunar far side sample return mission spacecraft components have arrived at Wenchang spaceport, with a planned launch in the first half of 2024. The mission aims to collect samples from the far side of the moon using a relay satellite, Queqiao-2, and will carry international payloads. The samples will be available to Chinese scientists and institutions before being opened to international research proposals. The mission is part of China's International Lunar Research Station program, with plans to establish a permanent lunar base in the 2030s.
