"Space Shuttle Endeavour Exhibit Closure Marks Year-End Milestone"

The California Science Center is closing its exhibit of the space shuttle Endeavour on December 31, 2023, to prepare for a new display where the shuttle will be presented vertically with rocket boosters and an external tank. The Endeavour has been on view since 2012 and has attracted nearly 20 million visitors. While the shuttle will be off view for a few years during the construction of the new Samuel Oschin Air and Space Center, other space shuttle orbiters remain on exhibit at various locations across the United States.
