A photographer in Puerto Rico captured rare footage of three gigantic jets of lightning shooting above a tropical storm, a phenomenon that occurs only about 1,000 times a year and is 50 times more powerful than regular lightning bolts. The photographer used two cameras to document the event, which resulted in red-colored jets due to contact with the Earth's ionosphere.
