The Copernicus Sentinel-2 satellite captured an image of Anchorage, Alaska, showcasing the varied landscape surrounding the city, including the Chugach Mountains and the Cook Inlet. The image also features the Kenai Peninsula and the Knik Glacier, one of the largest glaciers in southcentral Alaska. The different concentrations of melting ice from the Chugach Mountains create glacial lakes and water bodies in various shades of blue.
