A video captured a waterspout turning into a tornado as it made landfall in the Florida Keys during extreme weather on Sunday. The National Weather Service confirmed the tornado's path across Cudjoe Key through the Torch Keys, causing damage to at least one structure. The phenomenon, known as a tornadic waterspout, exhibits characteristics similar to land tornadoes and can bring severe thunderstorms, high winds, and hail. Preliminary data also shows another tornado briefly touching down in Miami-Dade county later that evening.
