Severe weather alerts across Midwest this weekend.

Metro Detroit is expected to experience hot and humid weather on Sunday with highs in the mid-80s. Showers and thunderstorms are expected to develop in the afternoon and evening, with some storms possibly becoming strong to severe with heavy rain, hail, and gusty winds. The marginal (level one) risk covers most of Southeast Michigan, with the threat of strong to severe storms greatest between 3 p.m. and 9 p.m. The chance of rain will linger into Monday and Tuesday, with temperatures topping out in the lower to mid-70s and lows around 60 degrees.
