Nor'easter Threatens New England with Snow, Rain, and Strong Winds

A significant April snowstorm is expected to hit Massachusetts, with up to a foot of snow in some areas and considerable rain elsewhere. The National Weather Service released maps showing hazards including slippery roads, coastal flooding, and strong winds. Western and north central parts of the state face significant to extreme risk of sleet and snow, with the Berkshires and northern Worcester County most affected. Eastern Massachusetts, including Boston and the Cape and Islands, is at risk of excessive rainfall and coastal flooding. Elevated wind risk is also expected, particularly in Eastern Massachusetts and along the coast.
