Midwest Snowstorm and Frigid Temperatures Ahead

A winter weather advisory will be in effect from noon Thursday until 6 a.m. Friday in the Omaha area, with 1-3 inches of dry, powdery snow expected, causing disruptions during the evening commute. Blowing snow concerns will continue overnight with northwest wind gusts of 30-40 mph. Additionally, extreme cold will settle in, with wind chill values around 20-25 degrees below zero expected on Friday morning and temperatures dropping to around 20 degrees below zero on Saturday morning.
