"Midwest Braces for Another Winter Storm with Heavy Snow and Extreme Weather"

The National Weather Service has issued a winter storm watch for the Chicago area from late Thursday night through Saturday morning, with heavy blowing snow expected to make for dangerous travel conditions. A fast-moving disturbance Wednesday night will bring a brief period of light snow, with total accumulations of 1-2 inches north of I-80. Another winter storm is forecast to impact the region Friday, bringing heavy snowfall and strong winds, resulting in hazardous travel and possible blizzard conditions. Much colder air will arrive in the wake of this system, with wind chills near zero and daytime highs not climbing out of the single digits.
