Chilly Forecast: Winter Storm Approaching Oklahoma

A winter storm is expected to hit Oklahoma this weekend, with snow beginning in the panhandle after midnight. Freezing drizzle, sleet, and snow will spread throughout the state, with a Winter Weather Advisory in effect for northwest Oklahoma and Winter Storm Warnings in Kansas. The northwest Metro, including Oklahoma City, may see sleet and snow Saturday evening into Sunday morning. Strong winds and cold temperatures will follow, with wind chills dropping to the single digits and teens. Temperatures will gradually rise before the next system arrives late next week.
