Central Florida's Weather Woes: Storms, Drought, and Heat

Central Florida has been experiencing waves of storms at all hours of the day and night due to a huge, stubborn upper low parked over the southeast U.S. This upper low has been generating heating-of-the-day storms by providing more lift to spark storms. Additionally, the main atmosphere railroad that keeps storms moving from west to east is jammed up right now by a huge omega blocking pattern, which may hold into next week, keeping rain and storm chances elevated.
