San Francisco and most of the Bay Area will experience a heat wave on Saturday, with temperatures reaching the upper 90s to lower 100s in some areas. However, the marine layer will provide some relief, keeping temperatures cooler along the coast. San Francisco will see temperatures in the mid-70s in the afternoon, while the Peninsula and North Bay will experience hotter conditions. The South Bay and Santa Cruz will also see warmer temperatures, but a breeze off Monterey Bay will help keep them slightly cooler. Cooler temperatures are expected in the evening as marine air returns to the region.
