Multiple Rescues on Rio Grande Over the Weekend

At least five people have been rescued on the Rio Grande over the Memorial Day weekend, with four confirmed rescues on Siphon Beach and one in southwest Albuquerque. The high water levels on the river make it unsafe for inexperienced rafters, and rescue crews will have an increased presence along the Rio Grande throughout the holiday weekend.
