Republican presidential candidate Vivek Ramaswamy has donated $10,000 to Daniel Penny's legal defense fund after the ex-Marine was charged with second-degree manslaughter in the subway chokehold death of Jordan Neely. Penny's defense team has argued that he acted in self-defense, while Neely's family's lawyers have said he wasn't harming anyone and didn't deserve to die. Ramaswamy encouraged others to donate to the fund, which has already raised nearly $2 million from over 40,000 donors. Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis also praised Penny as a "good Samaritan" and encouraged his followers to donate to the fund.
