Virginia Lawmakers Pass Budget with Tax Cuts, School Funding, and Pay Raises

The compromise includes one-time taxpayer rebates, an increase in the standard deduction, restoration of the back-to-school sales tax holiday, and higher spending on education and mental health. The budget deal also safeguards abortion services and funds gun violence prevention. Youngkin has seven days to make any amendments before the House and Senate consider them.
