Alito claimed he never discussed business with Singer and was unaware of his connection to the case. This follows similar reports of questionable ethics by conservative Supreme Court justices Clarence Thomas and Neil Gorsuch. Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Dick Durbin has called for an enforceable code of conduct for Supreme Court justices.
