Retired Marine commandant Charles Krulak and other retired military officials and cabinet secretaries filed an amicus brief before the U.S. Supreme Court challenging former President Donald Trump’s claim of immunity against prosecution, arguing that such immunity threatens national security and the country's standing as a guardian of democracy. They expressed concern that accepting Trump's legal argument could jeopardize America's role in the world and further spread authoritarianism.
