Ohio Supreme Court Allows Single-Issue Abortion Question to Proceed.

The Ohio Supreme Court has ruled that a fall ballot issue aimed at enshrining access to abortion in the state's constitution will not be split into two separate issues. The Ohio Ballot Board's decision to consider the issue as a single question was upheld, allowing Ohio Physicians for Reproductive Rights and Ohioans for Reproductive Freedom to continue gathering signatures for the November ballot. The proposed amendment aims to protect an individual's right to make their own decisions about a continuum of reproductive care issues, including contraception, fertility treatment, continuing one's own pregnancy, miscarriage care, and abortion.
