New Mexico Governor Warns of Impending National Abortion Ban

New Mexico Governor Michelle Lujan Grisham expressed concern that the US is moving towards a national ban on abortion, as state legislatures and courts continue to restrict access to abortion. She recently signed two bills into law protecting abortion providers and guaranteeing access to reproductive and gender-affirming care. Lujan Grisham emphasized the need to protect all access to abortion medication, rather than just stockpiling the abortion pill. The New Mexico legislation she signed puts no restrictions on when during a pregnancy a woman can get an abortion.
