Former NBC Sportscaster Tafoya Joins Minnesota Senate Race as Republican

Former NBC Sports sideline reporter Michele Tafoya filed to run for Minnesota’s open U.S. Senate seat as a Republican, signaling recruitment by the NRSC and joining a crowded GOP primary against Royce White, David Hann, Tom Weiler and Adam Schwarze, as Democrats Peggy Flanagan and Angie Craig compete in their own primary for the seat being vacated by retiring Sen. Tina Smith.
