Adam Schiff's Senate campaign boosted by House censure.

California congressman Adam Schiff, who was recently censured by House Republicans, is using the act of retaliation to his advantage by fundraising off it for his Senate campaign. The censure vote, which was effectively meaningless, was tailor-made to benefit Schiff's aspirations in California. Despite being the most conservative member of the group of contenders for the sought-after seat, recent polling has him uniformly at or near the top of the pile of candidates, and his fundraising haul is astounding. Republicans may be giving Schiff an edge with these votes to move the Democratic-controlled state to the right and curry favor with the Trump-supporting base.
