"Mastering Recycling: Tips and Tricks for Earth Day and Beyond"

Michigan EGLE identified seven items that are commonly misunderstood as things you can recycle in the state, including carton containers, paper coffee cups, plastic bags and film packaging, EPS/Styrofoam, bulky rigid plastics, clothing and textiles, and batteries. Many recycling facilities aren’t designed to handle and process these materials, so it's important to check with your local recycling program for information on drop-off centers or special collection days in order to recycle them properly.
