Air Quality Concerns Force Cancellations and Closures in Various Locations

Several outdoor events in New York State have been canceled or moved indoors due to reduced air quality caused by smoke from the Canadian wildfires. The Seneca Park Zoo has been closed, and Monroe County Parks, Spencerport Volunteer Firemen’s Association carnival activities, and Finger Lakes Gaming & Race Track have been canceled. The Monroe County and WM eco-park will remain open during their regular hours. The public has been advised to stay indoors and close all windows and doors to limit exposure to the outside air.
