Ameren Illinois Successfully Restores Power After Severe Storms

Ameren Illinois has provided a status update on power restoration efforts in various areas across the state, including Champaign. Since severe weather hit the state on June 29, the company has restored around 165,000 customer outages. As of July 2, approximately 56,000 customers are still without power in 80 counties. Ameren Illinois is coordinating with local and state officials to safely restore service, and they have a total of 2,800 workers involved in restoration efforts. The company is urging customers to check on those with special needs and providing safety tips for dealing with power outages.
