Mike Pence Calls for Ban on Abortion Pill Mifepristone.

Former Vice President Mike Pence has expressed his desire to see the abortion pill, mifepristone, taken off the market to "protect the unborn." Pence also criticized the FDA's approval of the drug more than 20 years ago and expressed his support for litigation to hold the agency accountable. The Supreme Court recently intervened in a dispute over mifepristone, maintaining its availability for now. Pence also called for a national ban on abortions after 15 weeks of pregnancy and disagreed with former President Donald Trump's assertion that abortion policies should be decided by the states.
