"AI Conversations Drive Shift in Attitudes on Climate Change and Black Lives Matter"

Researchers at the University of Wisconsin–Madison studied how interactions with the GPT-3 AI chatbot influenced users' attitudes on climate change and Black Lives Matter. They found that while participants who were initially skeptical of these issues were dissatisfied with the chatbot experience, their attitudes became more supportive of the scientific consensus after the conversation. The study involved over 3,000 participants and revealed that despite lower satisfaction scores, the chatbot conversations led to significant positive attitude changes towards climate change and BLM.
