"Tulane University Students Create Custom Wheelchairs for Kids with Disabilities"

Tulane University students, in partnership with the organization Make Good, are using 3D printing technology to build specially designed wheelchairs for children with disabilities. The chairs, personalized and signed by their makers, offer newfound mobility and independence to the children. The cost-effective design combines wooden bases and wheels with 3D-printed plastic attachments, costing under $200 per chair. The program aims to empower clinicians and go beyond what's commercially available, providing children with customized solutions that improve their quality of life.
