Young Mom Mistakes Brain Cancer Symptoms for Flu

Molly Young, a 38-year-old mother from Minnesota, was diagnosed with a slow-growing brain tumor called oligodendroglioma after experiencing flu-like symptoms and dizziness, which were actually caused by a partial seizure. Initially mistaking her symptoms for the flu, Young was advised by a nurse neighbor to seek emergency care, leading to the discovery of the tumor. She underwent successful brain surgery to remove most of the tumor and is now on a "watch and wait" protocol. The experience has given her a new appreciation for life and she hopes her story can provide comfort to others facing similar challenges.
