Legionella Outbreak Strikes Cincinnati Hospitals

Three patients at The Christ Hospital in Ohio have tested positive for the presence of Legionella, a bacteria commonly found in water. It is unclear whether they have Legionnaire's disease, a serious type of pneumonia caused by Legionella. The hospital has switched to bottled water and increased water testing protocols as a precaution, but normal operations are continuing with no interruption to patient care.
