Television personality Maria Menounos revealed that she predicted something was wrong with her pancreas nine months before being diagnosed with stage-two pancreatic cancer. Doctors initially suspected a gluten intolerance or coeliac disease, but her symptoms persisted. After documenting her symptoms and undergoing various tests, including a CT scan that initially showed no abnormalities, a full-body MRI scan revealed a 1.5-inch tumor in her pancreas. Maria underwent surgery to remove the tumor, part of her pancreas, part of her spleen, and 17 lymph nodes. Fortunately, the cancer had not spread, and she required no further treatment.
