"2024 James Beard Award Semifinalists: Culinary Standouts Across the US"

Multiple St. Louis-area restaurants and chefs have been named semifinalists for the 2024 James Beard Awards, including Rob Connoley of Bulrush, Loryn Nalic of Balkan Treat Box, and Philip Day of Root Food + Wine in the "Best Chef: Midwest" category, while Mainlander and Sado are both semifinalists for "Best New Restaurant" nationwide. La Patisserie Chouquette is a semifinalist for "Outstanding Bakery" nationwide, and Take Root Hospitality is a semifinalist for "Outstanding Restaurateur" nationwide. The winners will be announced on June 10 at a ceremony in Chicago.
