"Delta's Exclusive Eclipse Flight: Viewing the Solar Eclipse from 30,000 Feet"

Delta Air Lines has organized a special flight, Delta Flight 1218, to allow passengers to experience "as much time as possible" in the path of totality for the April 8 solar eclipse. The flight, on an Airbus A220-300 with extra-large windows, will depart from Austin, Texas, and arrive in Detroit, Michigan. Tickets are available for purchase on the Delta website, with a one-way ticket costing $579. Additionally, five other Delta flights and three Southwest flights will also provide opportunities to view the eclipse from the air.
