Spain's Historic Private Rocket Launch Marks European Space Milestone

Spain's first private rocket, the MIURA1, successfully launched from a military base in Andalusia, reaching an altitude of 46 kilometers before landing in the Atlantic Ocean. The launch is considered a milestone for Spanish research, development, and innovation in space transport. The rocket is a precursor to the MIURA5, a larger mini-launch vehicle designed to place satellites into orbit from 2025. PLD Space, the Spanish company behind the rocket, aims to tap into the growing market for launching micro-satellites into space.
