Nationwide Cantaloupe Recall: Salmonella Outbreak Sparks Concern

Sofia Produce, LLC, doing business as "Trufresh", is recalling all sizes of its fresh cantaloupes sold with the "Malichita" label due to potential salmonella contamination. The cantaloupes were distributed in several U.S. states and Canada between October 16-23, 2023. Trufresh initiated the voluntary recall after the Canadian Food Inspection Agency recalled cantaloupes with the same label. No illnesses have been reported so far. Consumers are advised to check for the recalled products and not consume them. They can either throw them out or return them to the place of purchase.
